Greenwood was a bit of a surprise, he turned pike from an afterthought (the menagerie was good but awkward) to a solid piece of trek background.
Mount is terrifying, far too good at this, it's been 1.5 seasons (plus disco) and he's racing to be my favorite captain.
Agreed, I think had they kept Greenwood in the role we would all be fine with it, but Mount is really something else.
I don't get how he's rocking this role that hard, he's making TOS Shatner look bad.
There's stealing a scene, then there's stealing the whole franchise somehow.
He was by far a minor character in the last episode, but his empathy still made him register throughout all that weapons-grade intensity around him.
