It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Two 1/3 pictures and lots of thin air claims.

This is not news.
This is an ad of the worst kind.

Come now, surely we can trust the corporation whose inventions include such achievements as...

checks notes

-Smashing a sitting president of the United States' head into the ground

Oh... Wait, I'm sure there's something positive here!

-Throwing the CEO of Segway off a cliff, killing him instantly (no, really, this actually happened; that's how he died).

Ok, maybe we should not trust Segway.

Man, I'm looking at their Xafari model, which is labelled as a "trekking" e-bike, and it's very clear that Segway seems to have no idea what the hell they are doing beyond the marketing.

And I say this as someone who's owned Segway e-scooters for many years!

For a "trekking" e-bike (which they also labelled as a "commuting" bike), it has an unconventional rear rack, that doesn't look to be very compatible with... I don't know... panniers!

The front fork also doesn't appear to be very front rack compatible.

And for a "trekking" model, it doesn't look like you can mount a water bottle, or cargo racks on the fork, or a frame bag, or a downtube mount, or a top tube bag...

And the handlebars are also very unconventional, so third-party mounts don't look like they'd work very well.

I'd love to see Segway give these out to some "influencers" to take on a bikepacking trip or short tour. I'd really love to see how they mount their gear.

I mean, just stop with these "looks good, but isn't practical" micromobility devices. They hurt the industry, and come with too many drawbacks for people who actually want to do things with their bikes.

If Segway decided to make a more normal e-bike, with broad compatibility with bike accessories and components, then count me in.
