I’m certainly more interested in this feature than “satellite texting”.

Sat connectivity is a huge win for people that venture into zero-coverage areas.

I live in rural NM, I have great coverage in town… but venture a little bit out of town in the wrong direction and you quickly lose service. That coupled with in the last year the single fiber line that feeds internet for my entire county has been cut 4 or 5 times, one of them being out for 4 days. This would be a welcome feature.

Edit: typos

Very helpful

A -lot- of people use it for trail running and hiking, and Apple has been building out a lot of features for those users. Back tracking, trail maps, etc.

Messaging in dead zones would be a game changer for those users. Even in Apple’s home turf, the Bay Area, trail dead zones are very veeery common.

This feature would sell a lot of watches among the REI crowd.

Not much of a game changer since the iPhone already does this. More of a convenience so they don’t have to carry their phone.

And here I go, just bought a series 10… Well, I gotta sell it at a loss next year then…

You’ve lived this long without it… The first generation of stuff from Apple is usually not great. It’s functional sure but wait for the upgrade in a year or two. I have a series 9, I’ll still wait.

I just upgraded from the series 3 and blood pressure is something I need to take care of

Yeah but it just tracks trends. Not actual numbers.

The feature would not provide exact systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements, instead tracking whether a user's blood pressure is trending upwards and sending an alert if hypertension is detected.
