Voyager app is pretty nice.

That's what I use.
I use the web client because I don't like having a separate app for every single thing I do on my phone.
Yep the lemmy web is great on mobile (firefox for android). It's so useful to open links and posts in new tabs and having browser history.
I just use the Lemmy web client on mobile. I also only used my web browser back in the Reddit days.
Never understood the appeal of apps. It's text and images and occasionally a video or gif. There's a perfectly good app for viewing those sorts of things, and it's called a web browser.

For people with slower mobile internet, specific app that cache those files would be useful.
Also helps me to avoid many open tabs, since apps generally don't have that feature. When mobile browser tab management gets better, that may not be a big thing tho.
I see no need to install an app for what is essentially a web site.
It's quite fantastic actually, especially since my instance uses vaporwave-dark
as its theme. ๐
How can I see this theme?
If your instance supports it, you should be able to find it under your account settings.
For example, this is how it is on the blahaj.zone instance, on desktop (it's pretty much the same on the mobile site, just more horizontally compressed to fit on vertical screen orientations):

Thanks, I'll give it a go
I use Jerboa, but yes, the web client is indeed awesome.
Praises to Dessalines, Nutomic and also all the other devs.
I use the app because I routinely clear cache and cookies in the browser. Or sometimes use private tabs when I think the tab count will be too high.
With the app, the cache for it is separate from the browser and I can clear the browser cache and cookies with no issues.
The images are not downloaded each time and it's faster as my mobile net is 3G most of the time.
It's a reason why I use Infinity for reddit too.
I am forced to have so many apps, there is no way I would willingly sign up for an optional one.
The web client works!
Web client for everything always.
Just uninstalled Jerboa after using Lemmy on Firefox. So smooth! ๐๐
If the lemmy web ui was as good as mastodons, I wouldnโt need a third party app
