Ni Hao, year of Linux desktop. not how I expected it'd happen but this will be huge for the Linux community I think

The Chinese government sponsored a fork of Ubuntu. The primary innovation is a custom UI called UKUI that comes preinstalled with a package magager that only supports government sanctioned programs.

Will the government actually "dump" Windows? Perhaps, especially since this seems like the government's attempt to control the software on their citizens' desktops.
