They seemed nice.

…at first.

Then Servo took it too far!

Everyone forgets about Cambot...

But seriously, that's like meeting royalty. Glad to see they are preserved somewhere.

[–] FlyingSquid 5 points 3 days ago

Yeah, no Cambot or Gypsy/GPC. But better than nothing.

I read this as the Center for Puberty Arts. Do with that what you will.

That’s where Crow goes to cry about DEBBIEEEEE!

It's funny because of how unexpressive they are as puppets. I imagine people who are into puppetry enough to run a museum would want all kinds of eyebrows and cheeks and wings and bells and whistles, but these guys are basically bricks. Like, their mouths open and close, but that's about it!

Well, their heads also move and Crow's eyes move, but yeah, they are not all that articulated.

And yet somehow the multiple people who have played them really bring them to life.

If you haven't seen what Conor does with Servo during the Mothercrabber rap in Season 13, it's some really impressive puppetry work. Especially since Servo was apparently not on a rod during the segment, meaning what he was doing was pure arm muscle.

This is a very good point. I hope the display had some video. Apart from just being well known puppets, it's kind of a 'look at what you can do with so little' thing.

I wish it did, but unfortunately there was no video. I was also the only person who even stopped to look at them for very long. I wish there was at least a little more to tell people about the show.

Wow! Atlanta? So cool! Did they have any other members on display? Where is Crow's terrifying lower half? How quickly could I be banned for touching the puppets? Fantastic!

They did not. But lots of Henson puppets. It's not a giant museum, it only took an hour, but totally worth the admission (which was only like $12).

I haven't been in forever, but it's a really cool museum
