Unfortunately his voice must have really sounded ghostly, coming from the well.

Let it be in a forest, sprinkle superstition on it and people won't get near that ghostly place.

I hope that at least now there's awareness among the people living near enough to have heard his screams and crying. If this happens again, they should react differently, because of the experience.
