Anyone who knows a teacher knows that class contact time is expensive. It seems for every hour in class, another hour of prep/marking/dealing-with-fallout is needed. More teachers is the answer, more money is the problem. With councils struggling, will Holyrood raise taxes or see if Reeves will break her fiscal rules to raise more cash? As teachers ain't gonna take much more, and the costs of teachers striking is astronomical to the economy

Teachers aren’t an expense, they’re an investment that leads directly to more public and private revenue. We can’t afford not to pay them more and pay more of them.

Pay isn't the issue for many. More staff, smaller classes. That would be the dream!! Doesn't have to be extra teachers. I would love a C.A in every class and an early years practitioner for primary 1!!!

I’ve only ever met underpaid teachers.

Multiple adults in each classroom sounds wonderful.
