It's still pretty good. Try not to spam fire too much. Primed firestorm for room clears, go crit with forced slash procs. Shoot once and watch them die slowly. Also a warframe that can resist the stagger.

Strike System
We use a 3 strike system. Strikes are given for breaking the Golden Rule, Excessive Trolling Rule, repeated failure to credit artwork, or for continued spam after a warning. Upon the third strike, the offending user is banned from accessing dormi.zone.
Extreme offenses, including but not limited to wishing death on another user or extreme bigotry will result in an instant permanent ban from dormi.zone.

Accusation Rule

Spoiler Formatting
When the sidebar of a community states that "Spoiler Formatting" is being enforced, the following rules apply for posts that involve lore/story spoilers:
- You must begin the title of your spoiler post with "[Spoiler]" and not include the actual spoiler in the title.
- Comments containing spoilers outside of spoiler posts must be formatted as a spoiler block, see here.
Posts only
These rules apply only to posts within dormi.zone communities.
Context Rule
Posts with vague or no context or with little-to-no information are removed.
Expired Event Rule
Event posts are removed after the event (alert, invasion, etc.) is over.
Fluff Post Quality Rule
Meme posts must be 100% (or very close to it) Warframe content, even if it's modelled after an existing meme template.
Help Desk Rule
Posts that involve issues with your Warframe account are removed and referred to the official Warframe support desk.
Relevance Rule
Posts that are not directly related to the community they're posted in are removed. A clever title or text placed over an image are not enough.
Creative Content Rule
You must limit posts of your own creative content (Captura,art, videos, etc.) to twice a calendar week, starting on Sunday, with at least 24 hours in between.
Trading Rule
Posts that offer trades or exchanges of any kind are removed.
Recruitment Rule
Squad recruitment posts are removed and redirected to the pinned Squad Recruitment post.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
I'd be careful with viral HM nowadays. HM is only very rarely useful due to the armour cap basically balancing it with elements. Shotguns never even want to run HM now due to their powerful primed electric mod. Additionally, Blast is your new generalist element as it does both high radial damage and also bypasses enemies with status caps (as it hits the cap and the stack detonates, allowing a new stack to set).
The ammo/explosive nerf was done fairly poorly, especially for the Zarr whose rifle mode was never an issue. You can try infusing Energized Munitions onto your warframe if you want to play around with ammo efficiency, or go to extremes with Arcane Pistoleer for infinite ammo. (Eclipse/Roar might save you ammo too if you have some way to reliably get rifle ammo drops)
For warframe choices, a loot warframe is probably the best, Nekros if you're more mobile (Shield of Shadows augment provides stagger immunity + Despoil) , and Khora/Hydroid - Both Strangle Dome and Tentacle Swarm tend to spread enemies apart, so they might not be the best choice. (or Protea/warframe with dispensary subsumed) if you're playing the majority of the mission in a small area. Grouping abilities can also help you avoid damage loss from fall radial fall off.
Not sure how good Galvanized Scope is on the Zarr in cannon mode, if you aren't having issues getting headshot kills keep it, otherwise, I would swap it for Critical Delay.
If you buff the damage enough, it should break even with ammo mutation. I've used it with Banshee, and it's monstrous on Funnel Clouds Zephyr, especially if you build it for raw Blast and Elementalist. Any frame with Xata's Whisper also turns the Blastementalist build into a nuke, and actually this is a generic strategy for any weapon, even single target weapons and even middle of the road ones like the Kuva Karak. The "bitey avenger" Arcane Avenger/Biting Frost Frost build is also a great generalist weapon buffer.
One more thing that helps with ammo economy is to bring a melee you like and run Primary Dexterity. Tenet Grigori and Tenet Livia both have combo storage, and Grigori has a projectile on the slide heavy and second standing heavy. If you have them, the incarnons Furax, Okina and Ack & Brunt all have combo storage too. Xoris needs frame support to really work, but it can do some numbers with Influence builds, and also has combo storage.
Breaking away from combo storage, Pathocyst is also a more attractive option now that we have very high initial combo through Galvanized Reflex, and it has respectable status chance with Weeping Wounds + Galvanized Elementalist which was its only real weakness before.
