The CacheCam view of the sample tube after drilling shows that no core was acquired (just a bit of dust in the sample tube). The NavCam views of the target during drilling show that the drill bit slipped during coring. I assume that the drill slip, chipped the carbide teeth, carbide teeth are very tough but very brittle and dont fair well well when they are shocked. The post drilling NavCams show the coring attempt was very shallow, either the slip terminated the coring attempt early or the lack of progress.
