I feel like this is the kind of thing that'll get argued up to the supreme Court and since the supreme Court is biased it will end up being a giant nothing burger that consumes a lot of news cycles.

I guess that makes sense. They could just be doing all of this performative stuff so that in 4 years they can say "Look we tried and Trump screwed it all up!!!!", counting on us to have the memories of a goldfish and not realize that they had four years to get it done before then and never even thought of it.
