Do I have to write commands in Leisure Suit Larry 7? (swg-empire.de)

I put on Larry 7 on my Steam Deck the other day after playing through 6. And I saw that you could type in commands again like in the old games.

Do you have to use that feature or can you get by with the mouse only? My eyesight isn't that great and typing on the Deck isn't much fun either way so I hope it's optional.

From what I remember you don't have to type commands and it's all menu based in Larry 7.

It's been a while, but I think some puzzles are only solvable with commands that are typed. It's a hybrid system.
