Man I miss land yachts. Modern luxury brands / models are all built as "luxury performance;" no one builds a rolling sofa anymore and that is a disappointment.

Lincoln still exists.
Its really nice having a front and rear bench seat, but its not so nice not having cupholders.
Blame the Automotive press which ruined that entire genre of car. It's a damn shame.
As a status symbol, luxery-spec pickups have filled the hole that the land-yahts left behind. They're not as cool though, imo. I'm usually pretty pragmatic I think, but I really want a land yacht project car someday for some reason.
‘79 Lincoln Town Car.. purchased from estate from lil ol Lady (35k miles) ($2200.00) Emerald green, smelled like an ashtray but had my greatest adventures in the front AND back seats.. rode that bad boy into the ground.
