When I first read the books Voldemort was only on number 4. Umbridge, Rita Skeeter and Lucius were all ahead of him.

Where do you rank Pettigrew, Bellatrix, Lockhart, and Fudge in that list? I'd rate at least a couple of them as worse than Rita Skeeter.
Pettigrew I also really hated as a kid. Lockhart I thought was kind of funny if still evil but I always had a thing for con artist type characters.
Bellatrix was more spooky than anything else to me.

She's the only character in the whole series who I actually hate. I hate people like that IRL too though, and I've met my fair share of them.
