As I've gotten older, I find myself doing the old ughs and groan while getting off the couch or say things to my kids that my parents told me. I also truly appreciate the coveted chair or spot on the couch which is "Dad's Spot!"

I absolutely say things how my father and my mother would say them. Not all the time of course, but I definitely hear it when I do.

My dad is a mean old guy, and I catch myself saying things the same exact way when I don't like something. At work when I'm in "manager boss mode" I channel my mother full stop.

I had absolutely shit parents so no I don't really sound like them. I had the classic "Bad 70's Dad", I couldn't be like him if I tried.

Sometimes, but that usually is when there is a safety issue. Safety issues are things I do not allow discussion. They do what I tell them, period. I have found myself parroting things my parents said. However, I think that is only natural. Kids are kids after all, no matter their generation.
