Say what you will about him but macron was right on that. EU should have been and should prepare to be on their own. We're most certainly not reliable on this side of the pond.

I hate macron direly, but that's one thing he got right: promote an indépendant Europe.

I am not alone.

I think this could be an opportunity for Europe.

One key dimension of that is european independence from american tech billionaires - we need to make and run more software, develop tech stacks and social networks over this side of the atlantic. So, good moment to promote the fediverse. I also program in Scala, mainly made in europe.
