I have nothing to hide. I also have nothing I want to show people either
Why keep your browser history?
Well, some people read something on a website, find it casually interesting - not enough to bookmark it, then later come across a situation where that website would be helpful and so have their browser history at hand to help find it again.
I'd just google the website again. Manually scrolling through tens of thousands of lines to find it takes forever, and if I search for it in the history I don't see the advantage over DDG
Sometimes, using a search engine fails you so having the browser history as backup might be difficult to use, but at least it's a backup choice.
Why clear it? Genuinely wondering
People love porn. A classic joke is that apparently no one uses private browsing, so if someone got your history, they'd see all the weird porn you watch.
Huh. Ok. Thanks for explaining
I've set it to clear when I close the browser
I am 100% certain they will be even more confused if they could see it.
