The secret source of Samsung’s consumer-electronics branding was putting a letter X in brand names (Galaxy, Exynos, Bixby) for that extra futuristic high-tech frisson. Then Space Trump came along and singlehandedly made that entire aesthetic deeply cringeworthy, so naturally Samsung would be wanting to ditch their Xs in the same way that McDonalds made Ronald McDonald look less Michael Jacksonlike.
