I'm in the process of trying to find an apartment and the prices are amazing (if you're not the tenant).

However, when talking with my neighbors I found the egregious differences between our rent because they've lived here for a good amount of time.

So is there anyone thinking of leaving their two apartment or townhouse or house downtown and wouldn't mind giving it to a stranger on the internet?

I don't mean to be too discouraging, but rent prices aren't usually transferable between tenants in my experience (just 5-10 years renting in TO). New tenants usually equal new going-rate rent price for the same apartment :/

Yeah you'd have to find someone willing to sublet, and it's illegal to sublet for more than you pay, so they'd have no incentive to do that, and lots of risk.

You're right, but I'd rather have a tenat act as a landlord than a landlord act as a landlord.

(Also I just thought this was funny)
