Normally I would say that this is being caused by lime build up, but this EKG is 2 months old and the temp sensor is bright and shinny.

Check for a bad wire. That was my issue. Their support was useless.

This is a pretty common failure with the Staggs. Even though their customer service is notoriously bad, I'd still reach out and see what happens.

Good to know. I wonder if it’s worth downgrading to the previous model. My older kettles in my office never did this.

It just randomly started doing this the other day. Temp sensor keeps jumping up and down 10 / 20 degrees F, and then it boils over violently.

Things sometime are ok if I unplug and do a hard restart. I wonder if this is a firmware thing.
