I use my laptop for online stuff. Besides having Star Trek, what appeals to me about Pluto TV is that the only additional cost was a $5 HDMI cable to run between my laptop and my TV. No other equipment purchases. Tubi, as well. No Star Trek shows on Tubi, and for me a smaller library of things I'm interested in viewing, but it's free.

Who knew that there was an automatic Lemmy television archive already set up and active?
I’ve been impressed with how functional and efficient crossposting is across the instances, but having a bot to capture for an archive (as existed on the old R-platform) is new to me. I didn’t even realize there were bots functioning at that federated level.
