I think the numbers are higher. People like me are living in buses, vans and SUVs on public land such as forest service and BLM who never get counted.

A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' etc.

MODERATORS
Every January there is a point in time census that trues to count all the homeless people in America in 1 day. It's dumb, but it affects funding allocation so its important. I used to be the guy going out and finding the folks who were sleeping in tents in the woods. Crazy stuff.
Interesting, so far no one has asked me. You're free to come out the camp and have a beer if you want.
