It is. It’s an incredibly accurate way to identify delusional victims or willfully ignorant liars.
In some ways it is a sanity litmus test. Some people knowingly answer incorrectly or with ambiguity for political gain.
To a confederacy of dishonest dunces, every question is a gotcha question.
Remember the original "Gotcha Question" was "What do you read?" It's always been about simple questions that they should have answers to.
