I dont need to read the article, I have consulted the fresh memes and concluded that neither side made any gaffes serious enough to immediately be extensively made fun of by either side.

JD Vance refused to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 Election.
He also doubled-down on illegal Haitian migrants in Springfield, OH trafficking fentanyl into the US, while misattributing the responsibility to Kamala while referring to her as the “Border Czar.”
That was followed by accusations that the Biden/Harris administration did nothing to support clean air, clean water, or climate policy.
That happened after he had his mic cut because he threw a tantrum about being fact checked by the moderators.
That all sounds like the expected level of stupid bullshit from him though.
