You know, that lady keeps impressing the hell out of me.
Making principled stands, refusing to back down from mouthy assholes, and being willing to say no so she can handle her own shit.
Much respect.

Maybe this is I'm old moment but who is this person? My friend said I must be living under a rock to not know her. I listen to all types of music, but she's never popped up in any of my channels.
You should give her a listen. She is an excellent self made artist.
She's not a household name yet, so don't feel bad about not knowing her. Only place I've seen her is on Lemmy posts starting about 2 months ago.
That has to be frustrating for people attending the festival to see her. The festival's Instagram account pointed to her being there. Set times were locked in. There's even a video of her posted two days ago saying she would be there.
ACL is in a couple of weeks. There was already backlash because the day she was performing was switched. Imagine if she ends up cancelling.
Her touring schedule has been stacked since February. If she does tour again, hopefully her schedule is more forgiving.
Idk I'm personally torn. I understand what she's saying. Being famous is intense, and people expect too much. At the same time, your own fans are literally paying money and expecting you to be there. They paid for hotels, travel, food, and more just to see you. And it's "too much"? Well, why would I want to pay money to go s e you now? What if it's too much for my concert?
Idk if you don't want to tour and you just want to make music fine, but touring and cancelling shows? That's a huge let down to all of your fans, not just the crazy ones
