I am not sure if any interesting ones have been made since focus shifted towards the 4 and 5. Maybe there are some specifically designed around using different HATs like UPS, LoRa, or the camera module.

I'm mostly seeing the average layered 3D printed cases and the mock consoles designed for emulation.

I'd also be interested in hearing some neat projects people are using them for. I have two spares from a while ago that I used for a NAS and an e-ink displayed weather forecast.

I recently printed the Fractal Design North Pi case which turned out quite nicely.

You might be able to find a flirc heatsink case for it they are pretty tidy

Flirc cases are nice, but the rubber parts do not handle the high temperatures well.

One of my pis is running inside a cupboard, so not ideal in terms of ventilation. The rubbery top and bottom of the case has started to dissolve into a sticky oil that was a bitch to clean up. The plastic underneath looks OK, so once the rest of it dissolves it will look normal again.

The other pi with the same case that's out in the open shows no signs of degradation.

Thats helpful to know, thanks. I was going to use a flirc case inside a magic mirror but I wont do that now 😅

You can make it a "live tv" of sorts that changes between streams that you enjoy the most while at the same time a network-wide ad blocker.
