Not having wars would be tragic from the military industrial complex perspective.
I think it's more about maintaining superiority as the unilateral world superpower. Can't let anyone else come into a position to threaten western hegemony. The military industrial complex profits are just the icing on the cake.
Someone needs to learn about China's imperialistic actions in Asia and their genocidal actions at home.
