Your image says this is Orford Castle.

That's the cross section (circular keep) in the top left corner. But, I originally had the post title as Orford Castle until I'd re-read it a few times!

Look at the picture and compare it to the cutout. They're the same just the cutout isn't exact. The towers are wrong for one. But look at the base and they appear to be the same castle.

I would take it as artistic license.

Am I losing my mind or is the cross section of a different castle? I can't see the round section inside?

Edit: Nevermind, the text clarifies that these are 2 different castles. A picture of the keep from the cross section is in one of the comments.

Stephen Biesty cross-section castle illustrations are amazing. And they also show where the poop goes.
