Hi everyone, not sure if everyone's heard of /r/beermoneyuk. It's one of the subreddits that helped most as a student to have an additional source of income and I really miss it since moving to the Fediverse (I can't seem to find the alternative here).

As such, I've decided to at least open it here at @beermoneyuk. I wasn't a mod there, just a relatively active user. My hope is that there are others like me who'd like to continue sharing this kind of valuable information with others without relying on Reddit.

If any of the mods show up from Reddit, I'll gladly give them ownership of the magazine/community. I don't want to monopolize it or control it in any way. The only thing I want is for it to remain alive without only existing on Reddit. If anyone would like to join, feel free to! As I finish my exams, I'll try to be more active in there and start sharing the information that I have.

Here's a link that should work across different instances without having to search for it. (this was done by creating a link with the target of /c/[email protected] , if there's a more seamless way to do that let me know).

It only works in at least one person on your instance has already searched for it. I'm going to be that person for my instance :D
