You can already play Star Wars Outlaws in VR thanks to a mod (mixed-news.com)

Star Wars Outlaws has recently become playable in VR. With the latest VR mod by Luke Ross, the open-world game can be experienced with 6DoF head tracking and stereoscopy. The game is played with the gamepad, motion controls are not supported.

To experience Star Wars Outlaws in VR, you will need a PC, a PC VR compatible headset, the original PC game, and a Patreon membership with Luke Ross ($10).

And so do plenty of people who do maintain open-source products, including a lot of mod authors, so what's your point?
