I bought the original NES with my own money, so I guess Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt were my first since they were included.

@[email protected] wow, two bundled games isn’t bad! Didn’t know they did that. Plus the lightgun was also included I guess?
Yeah, I bought it in the late '80s, I'd guess around '88 or '89 and it included 2 controllers, 2 games, and the gun. I recall the whole package being close to $100, maybe a little more.
On an inflation adjusted basis, that would be a bit under $300 today. Considering it would have been a 5-6 year old system at that point, it would probably be fair to compare it to the Xbox Series S today, which sells for $300-350 with one controller and zero games. So, it seems like that was a pretty good deal at the time.
Seven Cities of Gold and Archon for the Amiga 1000.
@[email protected] for me it was Double Dragon on the ZX Spectum. The best was the box 😅
@[email protected] Beautiful! 😄
@[email protected] the game wasn't fully compatible with the +2A model I had and it run at a 6 FPS or so (didn't say anything in that beautiful box though, this is my putting together 1+1 35 years later).
Needless to say I was disappointed.
@[email protected] Either Mr. Heli or Abyss for the C64, not sure which one came first. Both really good games that I bought from my pocket money when they were discounted to around 10 DM. I don’t have them anymore, they got sold together with my original Aldi C64.
@[email protected] I had a big box copy of Jazz Jackrabbit II that never actually ran on my computer and that my parents made me return.
@[email protected] first games were 'Pssst!' and '3D Combat Zone' for the ZX Spectrum. The choice in our local computer shop in a small town in northern Germany was not big. I think they had maybe 5 games for the Speccy and 10 games for the C64. So it was pure luck that 'Pssst' was well made and actually fun. '3D Combat Zone' was a Battlezone clone, but I had never heard of that before. I wanted it because it had 3D in it's name. Was not that bad but a bit slow compared to the original.
Not 100% sure, but probably Fantasy World Dizzy on the ZX Spectrum.
@[email protected] My very first self bought game was some kind of soccer LCD game. I bought it for DM 19,80 at our local stationer's. 😄 It's still working!
@[email protected] Dune II : Battle for Arrakis for me ! (PC version)
