Integrating media software directly into TVs was a mistake, TVs should not need dedicated years of support because they should just work as long as the components continue to function. I'm still using a 10 year old TV because it doesn't do anything other than output the incoming input. Hook any system or media player to that and you can swap those out as software lifecycles dictate at a much lower cost.

They're assuming I'd connect that fucking trash to the Internet just so they can harvest my data and feed me fucking ads.
