I loved Revelations 1. It was my introduction to the series believe it or not. Now I've played every mainline game including Code Veronica. Just to clarify, I don't hate this game and I definitely would play it again. It just wasn't as fun or engaging as Revelations 1. 1 was also way creepier in my opinion. She-Wesker was kind of a boring and uninteresting villain as well. Am I missing something? I would love to hear y'alls thoughts.

Aw, I haven't played it yet, but I hope I'll like it. I loved Revelations 1, and to this day it's one of my favourite RE games so far alongside REmake and RE3. I abandoned the ship hard after the action trilogy (RE4-5-6) but Revelations 1 reignited my love for the series.

The recurring cast certainly seems interesting. Claire and Barry? Wo-ooh! I wish Capcom remembered the rest of the people that are not named Chris when making mainline entries...

It's definitely worth playing. It has some really fun moments as well. Although just a heads up, It's really easy to get the bad ending so I'd recommend looking up a guide to avoid getting that If you're anything like me and would prefer not to play the last episode twice. You can even emulate this game if you want to go down that route. It plays pretty well in RPCS3. In any case, definitely give this game a go. Barry alone makes it worth playing.

I'm so glad to hear that! Definitely looking forward to playing it.

And thanks for the heads up about the ending. Yeah, I don't usually enjoy playing games twice to get the good ending, so that's good to know in advance.

I finally played it and came back here to report.

"Disappointment" doesn't even come close to what I feel about this game. It was terrible from start to finish, both in the story department and gameplay. It's funny because Rev1 is in my top3 RE games, while this one competes with Code Veronica for my most hated game in the series lol

I was looking forward to playing this game so much because of Claire and Berry, but Claire was done dirty in this game, and Berry was... Okay, I guess? Kind of milquetoast to me. And I agree on your opinion about She-Wesker, I wasn't interested in her in the slightest.

Kind of surprised this game has an actual decent reception on the internet. I've seen most people rank it above Rev1 and other classic games such as RE3.

Oof, sorry you didn't like it. I can't say I blame you. Much of the game felt like filler to me. I recall long boring sections that just went on and on. I'm surprised that so many RE fans like this one. More power to them I guess.

Also playing as Natalia or whatever her name was suuuuuucked. Every time you had to play as her I just thought "fuck, not again". It's a boring mechanic I found uninteresting.

I agree Revelations 1 was so much better. I'm biased though because that's the game that got me back into gaming as an adult. I expected something much more like the first.

I actually liked Code Veronica funny enough. It's ungodly hard at times I'll admit. I think it needs to be remade because of its accessibility issues. The story is really interesting. I also really like RE0 which fans seem to dislike.

At the end of the day, I don't regret my time with the game except the time spent replaying the last chapter. Another game crossed off my list is good enough for me. May we both live to game another day.
