For some reasons, I haven't introduced Tokyo Metro...

The classic yellow livery, marking the iconic Ginza line. Operated since 1927, it is the first underground railway in Japan. This new design is to reprint the original 1000 series.

Original 1000 series during TRTA period, which the railway is state owned.

With Tokyo Metro pass, Tokyo Metro is much cheaper than JR when traveling inside metropolis area. Yamanote Line? Nah.

Oh no, Tokyo Metro owns several lines and many of those lines still have dangerous (but cool) street-level crossings, even deep within the city.

My favorite factoid about the Ginza Line is that the Shibuya Terminal, and the entire last leg of the line, was recently moved.

Because Shibuya has been completely transformed in the last ten years, Tokyo Metro Shibuya Station was moved out of one building and rerouted into another building. Not only is Tokyo Metro Shibuya Station brand new, it’s a much larger bay-style station that gets sunlight from a glass canopy. A huge departure from the completely enclosed and narrow tomb it used to be.
