I personally can't really play at 30 FPS (anymore), especially in games where aim is important.

Yeah, 30 is brutal.
Inconsistent frame pacing is also brutal, but 30 sucks. Is there any particular reason they can't do what PS does and let you prioritize what you care about? Setting the graphics preference to performance tends to work pretty well.
Why any game in 2024 is targeting one specific frame rate is beyond me. Just do like any other competent release, and offer a “Quality/Performance” option where one targets 30fps with max visuals and one targets 60fps and cuts what it needs to get there.
I think people are well aware that the current console generations are just midrange PCs frozen in time at this point. Nobody is expecting miracles, just give them both options and be done with it.
Really taking after Bethesda on this one.
Might be an unpopular opinion but I personally think this is fine. Especially for console. As long as the frame pacing is consistent I don't think the game is going to be harmed by being at 30 fps. If this were PC or a competitive game it might be a different story but aiming on an Xbox controller is already suboptimal and once you play for a while your brain stops thinking about the framerate.
Then again I still go back and play Cod zombies in split screen with my gf on the 360 from time to time which doesn't even have a consistent frame rate. So I may be someone less worried about that sort of thing.
I'm no frame rate whore, but it seems ridiculous to target this when this was the standard on previous gen consoles that were first built over a decade ago.

Mine doesn't. It feels like I'm fighting through sand the whole game.
That really sounds coarse and rough and irritating.
I wonder if I’m the few that doesn’t really care. Maybe it’s because I have a 5 year old tv, and haven’t thought of buying a new one. But are 60hz tvs common?
I get it if you are playing on your monitor/tv does though.
60Hz has been the standard (at least in the US) since CRTs. I don't think I've ever seen a 30Hz display.
My TV is 6 years old now and it does 120hz. My PC monitor does 200.
