All good things must end eventually. I made my peace with this show twice already - once when Top Gear ended with the trio and again when the regular episodes of The Grand Tour ended. I'm just happy we got a few more specials before everything was truly done.
The Grand Tour
For discussion of the Amazon TV show The Grand Tour, starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May.
Discussion of other TV shows with any of the hosts (such as Top Gear) may be allowed as well.
Clarksons's farm is pretty good
It's excellent. It really shows how difficult it is, even for someone like Jeremy, who has some money
also has similar camaraderie and banter with the other characters not he farm.
not just the last grand tour, Jeremy said this was the last time he hammond and may would work together at all. :'(
We saw James delete their contacts, even!
It really didnt hit me it was the end, until two points.
James May seeming like he was about to tear up talking about the green bag he uses on specials, and what will he do when he finds that in the cupboard down the line..
and when The Lancia and the Mercedes were found, laid bare and ruined, yet still existing, all these years later.
Emotions hit hard with both those.
Exactly the same for me. It didn't really feel like the end until the trio started letting some emotion out.
It's a transition for sure. I've had them on Top Gear and Grand Tour for half of my life. It's really sad to think I won't get any new specials. They deserve the rest, certainly.
Just finished watching it and words just can’t describe how….existentially old I feel. What a legendary run!
