I try not to be too much of a prepper but yesterday's outage got me thinking things could turn real bad real fast. Will hotels fill up? What about pets? When do you make the call and abandon your place in search of cool?

Curious if others have thought about this or gone as far as to make a plan.

Assuming hotels within a reasonable distance are all full, I drive to stay with family. If that won't work for some reason then it is going to public airconditioned spaces during the day, and sleeping outside in wet sheets at night. I have done some camping in seriously high temperatures, and a wet sheet or blanket really does help, especially with how dry it is in AZ.
