the pay is not enough to cover food and housing

the grocery stores and other places are running on skeleton crews putting further strain on the workers

getting to the point people are not able to afford to work in certain areas

Not to mention that here in Mississippi we have the highest grocery tax in the country. Our elected officials do everything they can to keep the poor and near-poor down.

If republicans and supply side economics are so great; WHY IS THE SOUTH SO POOR?

Yes people are moving to Texas and Florida; and Georgia has thrown money at the film industry … but the rest?
