Presidents and ex-presidents get to hand pick personal details. Trump pushed so hard for complete loyalty that he sacrificed competence and skill of those protecting him. He got what he chose. Incompetent and undersigned protection that is undyingly loyal to him. And that is how they miss the most obvious sniper on the only other building in the area.
