Content should be articles, video essays, podcasts about topics relevant to the forum. No memes, single images or tweets/toots/... please!

Community rules:

  1. Be respectful and civil with each other. Don't be a jerk. There is a real human being on the other side of your screen. See also the Blahaj.Zone Community Rules

  2. No bigotry of any kind allowed. Making racist, sexist, trans-/homo-/queerphobic, otherwise demeaning and hateful comments are not ok. Disabilities and mental illnesses are not to be used as insults and should not be part of your comment unless speaking of your own or absolutely relevant.

  3. No gatekeeping and being rude to people who don't agree with you. Leave “gamer” stereotypes out of your comment (e.g. sexless, neck bearded, teenaged, basement-dwelling, etc). Don't compare people to animals, or otherwise deny their humanity. Even if you think someone is the worst human on the planet, do not wish death or harm upon them.

  4. No "justice porn". Posts regarding legal action and similar is allowed, but celebrating someone being harmed is not.

  5. Contrarianism for its own sake is unnecessary and not welcome.

  6. No planning operations, no brigading, no doxxing or similar activities allowed.

  7. Absolutely no defense of GamerGate and other right-wing harassment campaigns, no TERFs and transphobia, racism, dismissing of war crimes and praise of fascists. This includes “JAQing off”, intentionally asking leading questions while pretending to be a neutral party. This also applies to other forms of authoritarianism and authoritarian or criminal actions by liberal or leftist governments.

  8. NSFW threads, such as ones discussing erotic art, pornography and sex work, must be tagged as such.

  9. Moderators can take action even if none of the rules above are broken.

I can't imagine being so fucking fragile that the mere acknowledgement of the existance of people that I have never met and will likely never meet causes me to lose my fucking mind. How fucking delicate are these fetid shitbags?

as time goes on i grow increasingly convinced that they are just in extreme denial about themselves: at some level they know they're not completely straight or cis and any exposure to people who are comfortable with being such forces them to confront it in themselves, and due to societal pressure and upbringing this makes them feel terrible, so instinctively they reach for the easiest way out which is to remove the trigger.

They are indoctrinated to fear, hate, and self-loathing. That's why so many of them spend their lives arguing against marriage equality, equal rights, and doing things like promoting conversion therapy only to finally acknowledge themselves and come out.

They do so much damage to themselves and to society.

So, robots blasting each other in the face, body horror and reckless child endangerment is "meh, whatevs?" but this gets censored.

Oookaaay, BBC.

On a side note, Earthspark is such a neat show. The sound and visual design is fantastic, the voicework is top notch and the animation is really well done. There's a series one episode where the Seekers are attacking Prime and Megatron and it's just pure visual poetry.

The censored video played.

Then I tried the uncensored video.

I actually suspect there may be different versions available and there's some tiny flag or label somewhere that says one is available to do and so audience or distribution and they picked that one, because it was there. Nobody even knew what the difference was.

Same reason but a different side effect makes it so one gets flagged for licensing and one doesn't.
