So, last Christmas, my daughter got a Switch from Santa. I got her Super Smash and Mario Kart because I thought they made good entry level games. She has really enjoyed them and as her birthday approaches I would like to expand her library of games.
I looked into getting her Mario Odyssey and Zelda Breath of the Wild as I think she will like the more open word experiences. However I can’t believe that these titles, both 6 year old, still cost full price.
Why does Nintendo not reduce price for older games. Zelda has a new title now, why would I buy a 6 year old game when the new one is the same price?
Another unrelated note, as an older gamer myself, I’ve looked into upgrading my old X-Box one to the series X only to find it’s more expensive now than it was several years ago. I’ve never been someone who needed to play the newest titles or consoles and have always enjoyed reduced costs for older games as a reward of being behind the curve. What happened to gaming?
