To preface, my wife was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December. There have been MANY hospital visits and surgeries since then, and the bills are starting to roll in. My health insurance is great, but there are still uncovered expenses.
I am a LU5 (Pittsburgh) journeyman w/ 20yrs experience. Ive already sold a lot of my possessionsto help, but it seems I'll need to start taking on side work. I'd like to go into it as safe as possible, so naturally insurance is a top priority. I was wondering if anyone can give me some insight as to what I'll need besides general liability.
LU5 by-laws prohibit me from having a non-union shop, so I would be doing business as myself (which is still "illegal" but screw it), but when I request a quote from, say, NEXT or State Farm, I'm required to insert a company name.
