This was the one where, like a local politician killed somebody and was trying to pin it on somebody else, but they didn't know the evidence pointed to them. So the cops got the person who it was pinned on in on their sting and brought them both to the site where the body had initially been dumped, and it proved...something. I remember this location.

Does Criminal Intent hold up pretty well? I remember loving it.
I have too much nostalgic love for it to really be objective. obviously they present the attitude of their time when it comes to LGBT issues, and it's still copaganda, but the episodes I haven't seen before legitimately have me guessing until the last minute sometimes, and I will watch literally anything that Vincent D'Onofrio does. He's absolute magic on this show, and his pairing with Kathryn Erbe is absolute chef's kiss. in my opinion, the best thing law and order ever did
