Apparently coming in a dev beta soon, although properly launching in Fall.
Even though I have a 15PM, I’m still bummed about older devices not getting the “best” new features. I know it’s related to RAM, but shouldn’t the cloud-based version work on older phones?
yea they could fallback to cloud, but this is the big motivator for a refresh supercycle.
True. I wonder if they’ll roll out a broader version that’s cloud-based once the cloud version is trained and IP16 sales are at a spot they’re happy with.
There’s a risk of that backfiring though. There could well be people who stick with an older iPhone to avoid Apple Intelligence.
Conversely, people will rightly ask if Samsung can bring GalaxyAI to two year old phones why can’t Apple bring it to a phone that it is still selling.
