Most pay-walled website can be read by simply using the Yesscript add-on (https://github.com/log69/yesscript2), and preventing JavaScript.
That's laughable compared to original ambition and vision, but so much more realistic. Who the hell would want to live 65km out into the desert in a nearly two dimensional side-scrolling mall? It's an incredibly wasteful use of resources, and a resulting lack of useful space to live within. Some sci-fi things are visually stunning but would never work in the real world. This is one of them.

I just want to know who looked at this and said, "Yes, a 500m high wall of mirrors extending over 100km across desert will be absolutely fine, and most certainly not cause the south side oth this structure to become literally unilivably hot during the daytime".
