Hopefully the bed elevation helped a bit?

Consider covering them if you've got frost coming. I've got a weather alert set up if the low will be < 2°.

Just something simple like this, prebuilt or diy

That’s what I’m hoping, it looked to mainly be the lower grass parts, wasn’t everywhere atleast, so it appears I have frost pockets though…

Wasn’t supposed to have frost, it was 4 last night, but the forecast doesn’t account for the valley it seems. I’ve got poly I could lay across them, but rolled the dice last night as there wasn’t any warnings for the towns around that I saw either.

I’ve tossed some ideas around on my head, something like that is super easy, I can also get some rebar and pound it into the ground with some pvc pipes as hoops and drap poly or a decent grow tarp over. This has the advantage of also doubling as critter guards too with a mesh covering.

I think the neighbours cat dug up a portion of the garden last night… so sounds like it’s gonna be a sooner than later fix ughhh…. Haha.

Thanks appreciate the advice though!

A mini weather station may be worth investing in to lock down your specific microclimate (or see if any of your neighbors have one)

You can get some cheaper ones sub $200, or maybe find one on kijiji from someone else upgrading.

I use mine to run a few home automations too, so it was a no brainer to use it for the garden too.

I asked the wife for a smart fancy one for my birthday, so another week, but you’re speaking my language growmie! Haha.

Yeah I would like one with HA integration for when I get around to figuring that out as well, so we will see how it goes next week I guess!

We also have seedlings! Legumes in the picture, some arugula/rocket is starting as well, not all bad today it seems.
