Montero Lamar Hill, professionally known as Lil Nas X, was named after the Mitsubishi Montero[^1]. For those unfamiliar with the vehicle, it's a non-descript, generic SUV. Compensation? Or just another bored artiste telling outright lies to interviewers just for fun?

Whatever. It's catchy enough.
