I’m prepared for the downvotes but I kinda wish that Apple would buy Valve. Their investments in VR line up nicely and, considering that Valve’s whole Proton project is run by CodeWeavers, would bring a bunch of open-source Mac fans back into the Apple ranks. It would give Apple a little bump in gaming on all their devices, further expand the ability for games to be played across systems, and give Valve all the money they need to further extend what they’re doing with VR. Half-Life: Alyx is the best VR experience I’ve had to date (outside of movie-viewing) and it would be great to bring that to the masses.
