I haven't read the book myself, just going off of what I've read from others.
Some think both can be appreciated equally, others say the movie is better due to it having more of a focus on the fashion industry as a whole, whereas the book is very inwardly focused on the main character, what she experiences, and her growth through it all.
Idk how to put spoiler tags in here, or I'd include another detail I've read about.
@JargonWagon Sounds like it's more personal preference of one's priorities - if you prefer inner stories, like the character's experience, you would prefer the book. If you're more interested in the fashion industry, you would prefer the movie. That's not necessarily better made, though, in my opinion.
