The final chapter of the Infinity Saga was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film cost $400 million to make and had an unprecedented opening weekend of $1.2 billion, and would eventually go on to gross $2.8 billion. It briefly became the highest-grossing film of all time until the 10th anniversary re-release of James Cameron's Avatar pushed it to the 2nd highest grossing film of all time.

The final studio net profit is estimated at $890 million.

The box office run was so legendary, it has its' own Wikipedia article!

I saw Endgame on opening night with my friend. The entire theater was packed. The way people were cheering, you'd think it was the Super Bowl.

It was the best moviegoing experience of my life, and I highly doubt anything will top Endgame in my lifetime.

You can recreate the experience here.

Funny enough I just watched Infinity War + Endgame earlier this week with someone who didn't see them in theaters.

They'd seen both since so we were just chatting while watching, almost all of my commentary was around the theater experience. Watching Captain America grab Mjolnir is a wild moment that isn't captured just watching at home, but when the theater saw it, that was something.

Endgame is an unbelievable feat that I expect will never be achieved again, but I hope.

Sometimes I go back and watch an audience reaction to the end battle, the whole Avengers Assemble thing. There’s just nothing like it. Say what you will about the movie, but it was an experience to be there in the cinema.

This was the finale of the MCU, No Way Home was the coda.

Multiverse of Madness? Ok, yeah that was another solid post-Endgame film. Loki’s been good too.

Loki was decent. Moon Knight was great.

They should have stopped here, but instead they decided we absolutely needed the adventures of the B and C teams for another decade. Disney as a corporation is incapable of restraint in the face of shareholder expectation, so the story will always lose out to the suits demanding they just make the Avengers, but with more money.

I, for one, am glad Guardians of the Galaxy 3 got made. Other than that yeah, haven't cared much for the MCU since Endgame.

DSMoM, SMNWH and Moon Knight were all pretty good too.

With all the tripe released between then and now, it feels like well over a decade ago.
